About this Workshop:
This workshop will focus on creating characters with strong, specific points of view, following the FUN in your scenes! Let’s get weird and silly! Let’s make bold, surprising, and unexpected choices!

About the Instructor:
Allyn Pintal is a writer and performer living in Los Angeles. She was born in the Philippines and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She co-hosts/co-produces the wildly popular show, Filipino AF. She can be found performing on Harold Night with Mondegreen! She is a writer for the Maude team Thirst Trap! She also hosts a monthly improv/storytelling show in the Inner Sanctum with her indie team k3wlAZN420.

Intro to Sketch Comedy Writing $25

About this Workshop:
This workshop will go over basics of sketch writing. Examples of sketches will be shown and discussed, and students will pitch their own ideas as well as brainstorm possible beats. If time permits, you may leave with a fully written sketch! Participants should come prepared with a notebook and pen/pencil, a laptop or tablet.

About the Instructor:
Joy Regullano is a graduate of the improv programs at Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City Hollywood, and iO West and currently performs with several sketch and improv teams in Los Angeles. Her TV credits include Supernatural, Raising Hope, 90210, and Castle. She is an avid writer and a burgeoning Youtube with self-written viral video WHITE FETISH boasting over 1 million views.

Improv Harold Workshop $25

Experience Level: Participants should have some knowledge of the Harold form

About this Workshop:
This workshop will focus on the basics and technique of the Harold form. How to effectively generate ideas in your openings, creating fun first beats and then exploring the game differently in second beats, and experimenting with form in group games.

About the Instructor:
Erich Tamola is an actor and improviser based in Los Angeles. He has been taking classes at UCB since 2013. He was on Mess Hall (Biscuits, Busters) & Harold Night (Mondegreen). He co-hosts and co-produces the ‘k3wlAZN420 Show’ & FILIPINO AF at UCB. Fun fact: Erich has lasers for eyes.
